Style Context
As category context only, the Brewers Association guidelines define Leipzig-Style Gose (4.4 to 5.4 percent ABV, 5 to 15 IBU) and Contemporary-Style Gose (same ABV range, 5 to 30 IBU, with fruit, spices or herbs allowed), both built on lactic sourness and a light body. The 5.5% ABV listed on Untappd sits just above the top of that range; no IBU is published to compare.

Research Notes
- The brewery site's beer page lists several tart ales but not Flower Child, so there is no beer url.
- Untappd shows the beer under UPP Liquids, with check-ins tagged at the 2026 festival.
- New School Beer reports Flower Child won silver in Contemporary Gose at GABF 2025; this is a separate, earlier medal.
- The UPP Liquids Toast ordering page returned HTTP 403 and could not be read.
- No 2026 medal announcement from the brewery was found; the shared web search budget ran out during this batch, which limited press searches.
- Researched 2026-10-13.
- Field pass 2026-10-13: The distributor's UPP lineup supplies the bitterness above for Flower Child with peach, chamomile and cardamom; local press identifies that combination as the standard Flower Child gose. The distribution lineup lists 5.2% ABV versus the retained 5.5% on Untappd. No hop variety or brewery beer page was verified.
- Deep dive pass 2026-10-14: the brewery beer page does not describe Flower Child.
